Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra | An Evening of Tragedy

The Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra presents an evening of Halloween themed music, starting off with a world premier by Ben Crick – An 1812 Overture.
This is followed by Schuberts “Tragic” 4th Symphony. We continue our evening with another world premier, this time by composer James Powley who has been commissioned to compose a tone poem for solo tenor, dancers and symphony orchestra based on the Moors murders.
We finish the evenings concert with Rachmaninoffs – Isle of the Dead.

Join us at 7pm on the 22nd of October at Left Bank, Leeds for what promises to be an enjoyable dark concert! 

The Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra brings together over 90 of the best young musicians from around Yorkshire, compiling of professionals, students and graduates from the Universities of York, Hull, Huddersfield, Leeds, Sheffield and Leeds College of Music. The Orchestra delivers innovative and exciting collaborative programs working along side other art forms with a focus on unusual concert venues. Delivering personalised, casual and modern performances of classical music in an accessible and approachable manner.
