We’re in the running to receive £5000 match funding for our garden project. Can you help us?

You might have spotted from our social media (and, if you’ve visited recently, our rather lovely new sweeping driveway!) that our new garden project is underway.

Our vision is to create a safe, welcoming and accessible ‘pocket park’ for our visitors to enjoy, offering opportunities for outdoor events and volunteering. This project has been several years in the making and we’ve recently secured funding to get started, but unfortunately we don’t have enough to realise our whole plan.

Luckily, we’ve been selected by Crowdfunder as part of their Projects That Matter: Leeds City Region campaign in partnership with Legal & General. If we can raise £5000 through a Crowdfunder campaign, Legal & General will match it with a further £5000.

There is a catch, though. Ours isn’t the only project in the running for funding, and money is awarded on a first come, first serve basis. That means we have to raise the funds as quickly as possible to get the match funding.

This is where you come in! We’d love it if you would consider supporting our Crowdfunder, helping us to fulfil our vision for the garden and bring a wonderful new green space to the local community.

As a thank you, you’ll be invited along to a special garden party that will mark the official opening of the space and tie in with Left Bank’s 10 year anniversary celebrations.

You can donate to the project here. Please share this link far and wide, and if you are planning to donate, do it as soon as possible to help us get the match funding!

This project is possible because of lots of hard work from our staff and input from several funders, including Sir George Martin Trust, Wellbeing Trust, Leeds Civic Trust and the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. Leeds City Council have also lent us their support.

We’re so pleased to be collaborating with another local charity to deliver the project. Hyde Park Source work within Leeds communities to improve their surroundings, creating beautiful, safe and useful green spaces.
