January 24, 2020 @ 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Whirl, twirl, stomp and clap your way through the night at this pre-Burns Night ceilidh. We’ve invited Headingley-based band Bandiera Rossa to play a set of lively traditional tunes to get you moving.
When you need a break, head over to our whisky tasting station where whisky expert James from Diageo will have a selection of tipples for you to try. You can then purchase your favourite, paired with a complementary mixer, at the bar.
Doors are at 7.30pm at the band starts at 8pm.
Please note, this is an adult-focused event. Concessionary tickets are for students and over 65s.
What is a ceilidh?
A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a social dance event. It’s a bit like square dancing, or country dancing, and you don’t need to know any moves to join in. The band will have a caller who’ll teach you the moves and call them out while you’re dancing. Don’t worry if you get the steps wrong – everyone does at some point! There’s no pressure to dance all night either. You can take a break, then dive back in when you’re ready.
All money raised through this event supports Left Bank Leeds Charitable Trust, charity no. 1146734.
Please note, we take photos at our events for marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to appear in our images, please speak to a member of staff at the event.
