Volunteering: Creative Open House assistant

Opportunity: Creative Open House assistant

Creative Open House is a monthly event where we bring together a variety of creative events and activities. Visitors can book a table to get together with friends to draw, craft, discuss, knit, crochet – whatever takes their creative fancy! We also hold exhibition openings and host workshops during this event so there’s always plenty going on. Volunteers get involved by welcoming people on the door, supporting with exhibition openings and serving drinks and snacks on the bar. You don’t need to have worked on a bar or used a till before to get involved, we’ll provide full training before you get stuck in.

Our volunteers often bring along a creative project that they’re working on and join in the fun.

At the end of the event, everyone in the team helps to clear the space and clean the bar ready for the next day.

Are you:

  • someone who loves people and is a good team player?
  • comfortable interacting with lots of different people?
  • naturally welcoming and approachable?
  • able to use initiative to problem solve (don’t worry, there will also always be a Duty Manager on site)

Volunteer commitment:

Our Creative Open House evenings take place on the first Wednesday of each month from 6-8pm.

As a member of our volunteer team, you will need to be ready to start at 5.45pm to help set up and you should be finished by 8.30pm after helping us to pack down.

Interested? We’d love to hear from you. Please complete the form below to register your interest.
