Volunteering: Curatorial Assistants

Our Curatorial Assistants work with the curators to plan and install works in the exhibition. You’ll learn more about the curatorial process during a short presentation, then split off into teams, working under the instruction of the curator to build the exhibition from the ground up.  We’re looking for volunteers who can follow instructions and work with care and accuracy. You’ll need to be physically capable, as some works may be large, heavy or require the use of a ladder etc during the install.

Who you are: 

· You have a strong ability to follow instructions carefully   
· You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team   
· You love working with people and have good people skills  
· You are physically capable and able to handle artwork with care 

Important dates for this role:

14 to 16 July – Exhibition installation 
17 July – Opening event
22 July – Exhibition de-rig
