Healthy Holidays | Ping Pong & DIY Hovercrafts

Healthy Holidays is back at Left Bank for a final time this year for our Christmas Holiday sessions. For this session we are calling all little Ping Pong and building lovers!

Your child will start the day with Pete from Ping Pong 4 U who delivers fun, inclusive Ping Pong sessions designed to get everyone engaged in this fast-paced sport. Coach Pete will teach your child the basic skills they need to help them build up to rallies and games. This workshop is great for developing a healthy sense of competition, boosting hand-eye coordination, and getting a little exercise while having lots of fun!

After Ping Pong , it will be time for lunch! (Please ensure you confirm any allergies/dietary requirements when you are booking your ticket)

In the afternoon the kids join the award winning Same Difference Arts for an interactive science based craft workshop, where they will learn the this history of the Hovercraft, explore the science behind how hovercrafts work before getting crafty making their own craft to take home!

This session is suitable for ages 3-9. Please do not book a ticket for younger children,  if you have any babies/toddlers that wish to accompany elder children who are booked on to the session please feel free to bring them along. Please email leah@leftbankleeds.org.uk with any questions.

One ticket will include the following:

  • A place on the Ping Pong workshop with Pete (9:30am - 10:30am)
  • A place on the workshop with Same Difference Arts (10:30am-12pm)
  • One Hot Lunch (12pm-1pm)

The session is suitable for all the family. Please book one ticket for each child attending the session. Do not book tickets for adults.

**This session is part of our Healthy Holidays programming, which is here to provide free and healthy activities for children during the school holidays. These sessions are funded and free for those children who are in receipt of free school meals. As such the majority of the tickets are available for children on FSM.

Additional free places are also available for children with SEND, or whose parents claim full or part universal credit. Please do not book these free tickets if you are not eligible for the Healthy Holidays program per the categories above.

In order to support everyone in our community and be inclusive of all families, additional tickets with a suggested donation have been provided for those who do not fall within these categories. Please do not book the free tickets if you are not eligible for the Healthy Holidays program per the categories above.**

Parents/careers must stay on site at all times. Parents are welcome to join in with the workshop and help with the craft activities, there will also be plenty of opportunity for a bit of relaxation, feel free to bring along a creative project or book while the kids are entertained. The Café will be open throughout the day, and we also have a Pay as you feel option on our menu if you fancy a spot of lunch!

** We are happy for you to take photographs at our events, however, please be aware that not all parents and carers are comfortable with their children’s images being shared on social media for a variety of reasons. Please be mindful of this when sharing, thank you.
