Join us for a unique creative experience blending sound, mindfulness, and art!
Guided by conceptual artist Delilah Sykes, this workshop invites you to explore the world around you through deep listening and creative expression. We’ll kick things off with a group sound walk through Burley Park and the surrounding area, where the group will capture the ambient sounds of the environment using recording equipment. It's all about following your ears, tuning into your surroundings, and embracing the power of mindful listening.
Back at Left Bank, we’ll listen to the sounds recorded on our walk and draw inspiration from the journey to create our own zines. You’ll experiment with drawing, collage, and found objects collected along the way, transforming your sensory experience into a tactile art form.
The workshop wraps up with a collaborative sharing session, where we’ll pick our favourite pages and scan them to form a digital zine—a lasting record of our creative exploration that will be shared with all participants.
